& It’s getting really annoying.

That awkward tension between the two of us.

I wish she can finally just find someone.

Instead of flirting with everything that breathes,

She needs to settle down.

We’re being ignorant to one another,

& honestly i have no problem with that.

This is my constant reminder of how I need to be loving others, how I should be loved in return, and what I already have in God.  This is how God loves me, and although humans aren’t perfect and fall way short of this, this should be the blueprint for what we demand from those who claim to love us. 

Francis Chan writes about this in Crazy Love.  It’s funny because I haven’t thought about this verse and what it came to mean to me last year until tonight when I saw this. I am not giving this, so it makes sense that I’m not receiving it either.
